The St. Matthew the Evangelist Catholic School Council is an advisory group made up of parents and staff. The council is a vital part of our school community. The purpose of a Catholic School Council, through the active participation of parents, is to improve pupil achievement and to enhance the accountability of the education process to parents.
Our Catholic School Council provides advice and support to the principal, and where appropriate, to senior administrative staff and the Board of Trustees on education matters. The advice should reflect the views of the school community.
Our Catholic School Council meetings take place once a month in the school library at 6:00 p.m. Currently meetings are virtual. Please contact the office if you would like the meeting link sent to you. An Edsby message will remind you in advance of the meetings. All parents are welcome to attend the monthly Council meetings and bring agenda items forward for discussion. The meeting dates for the current school year are:
Elections for the Parent Council Executive take place at the first meeting of the school year. Nomination forms can be downloaded here. We are proud to announce this year's Executive team.
